Patna: Health minister Nand Kishore Yadav will flag off a rally to be organized on Monday on the occasion of World AIDS Day. With over 1,500 students expected to take part in it, the rally would start from the Patna Women’s College gate with Kargil Chowk being the point of culmination. It is being organized by the Bihar State AIDS Control Society (BSACS) with support from National Service Scheme.
BSACS would also set up temporary voluntary counselling and testing centres at Pahari, Mithapur bus stand, Gandhi Maidan, Patna Junction, Boring Road crossing and Maurya Lok Complex on the occasion.
Meanwhile, Francois–Xavier Bagnoud India and Suraksha, Bihar branch, organized a street play and candle light vigil on the eve of the day on Sunday. Around 200 participants of different NGOs, students & NCC cadets from Patliputra High School took part in it.
Prahri, an NGO, too organized a candle light rally on the eve in which hundreds of students took part.
