Himachal Sets up AIDS Tele Counselling Centre

The new centre, linked with AIDS Control Units across the state, will provide free counselling on issues related to AIDS and its awareness
Shimla: The Government of Himachal Pradesh has set up a free tele–counselling centre in the office of state AIDS Control Society on the occasion of World AIDS Day on Monday.

The new centre has been linked with AIDS Control Units across the state, a spokesperson of the state Health Department disclosed here on Tuesday.

She said that Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal while presiding over the state–level World AIDS Day function at Sarkaghat exchanged dialogue with the official AIDS expert of the society.

The spokesperson said that free counselling facility regarding AIDS would be available on Toll free number 1299 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on any working day.
