Peel Police Alert Women to Possible Partner who is HIV-Positive

The Peel Regional Police are asking anyone who has had sexual relations with James Junior Udokang, 32, who is HIV–positive, to come forward and seek medical attention, as police investigate the sexual assault of a child. Mr. Udokang, who is from Brampton, was arrested on June 27 and charged with aggravated sexual assault and sexual interference. Police said the child and the suspect know each other. Police said they believe Mr. Udokang has been aware of his HIV–positive status for about five years, but suspect he has been having sexual relations with women without informing them. Police said whether or not Mr. Udokang will be charged with having sex without disclosing his HIV–status will depend on who comes forward. For information: call the Special Victims Unit at 905–453–2121, ext. 3460.
