Cuvelai - At least 136 citizens, residing in Cuvelai District, southern Cunene Province, did their HIV/AIDS voluntary test from February to the first fortnight of March, two of whom came out positive, ANGOP has learnt from a hospital source.

According to the official of the programme of combat to AIDS, Amélia Ndamononghenda, the number of volunteers, mostly pregnant women, has increased due to the opening of the new services in the communes and districts.

She emphasised that the sector has been holding lectures on AIDS prevention in the communities, coupled with the distribution of condoms and other material on sexually transmitted diseases.
